EU volume-limit problem

Types 2 and 4 may NOT support iOS devices sold in Europe area (except Italy, Finland or Spain), because headphone output may not exceed 100dB to prevent hearing damages, under the EU regulation. This limited audio output is not enough to power them. 
To avoid the risk, you'll get an extra Type 3 only if your post address is located in EU country and you purchase Type 4. No additional charge is needed.

If you use latest iOS devices such as iPhone 5 with iOS 6.x, you may able to turn off the volume-limit as below. 

According to users' reports, Types 2 and 4 works on Italian, Finish and Spanish iOS devices.
Today I tested PocketGeiger with a borrowed GM-200 from GQ-Electronics Tech. As you can see, the matching is perfect (and both counters use the same unit system). I use an iPhone 4 bought to Vodafone Spain - my current carrier as you see from the picture is simyo, not Vodafone, as I changed company 2 month ago, keeping the original iPhone -bought in September 2010-. Radiation-watch.org is an open and non-profit project to develop cheap and smart radiation detector for everyone, especially around and in Fukushima. The project has been funded by 167 backers of the world via Kickstarter.com soon after the nuclear accident in Japan, and now supported by volunteer scientists, engineers and designers.


We've shipped over 12,000 Pocket Geigers to Japanese people. Our factory is located in Ishinomaki-city in Japan that had survived the Tsunami disaster. We believe that the project can contribute job security and economic recovery in the devastated area. Any questions?
