How to create beta-radiation shield with aluminium foil in your kitchen
ここでは、家庭用アルミホイルを使ってベータ線シールドを作成します。準備するものは、次の通りです。なおアルミホイルは、幅25cm、厚さ10～12μm（マイクロメートル）のものをご使用ください。スーパーなどで売られている一般的なアルミホイルは、ほとんどがこの規格です。
This document shows how to create beta-radiation shield with aluminium foil in your kitchen.
Make up following tools.
- アルミホイル / Aluminium foil (width=250mm, t=10~12um)
- ボロ布 / a duster
- 25cm以上の定規 / a scale >250mm(10inch)
- 木づち、もしくは金づち / small hammer
アルミホイルを引き出し、幅75cmに切ります。定規などを当てて引っ張ると、綺麗に切ることができます。
Tear off the aluminium foil in length 750mm(30inch) using a scale.
次のように、アルミホイルを連続して5回折ります。毎回、折り目をピッチリと指先で押さえてください。なお、山折りと谷折りは自由です。
Fold the piece of aluminium foil tightly five times over. You should not care about mountain or valley fold.
Then you can see a bar in width about 23 or 25mm. Fold it in three, and fold it again in two.
表面が傷つかないようボロ布を当てて、ゴムハンマー（無い場合は木づちもしくは金づち）でまんべんなく叩きます。この行程は、折り目をより強く付けて、アルミホイル同士を全体的に隙間無く密着させるためのものです。あまり強く叩くとアルミホイルに穴が空いてしまいますのでご注意下さい。
Press it with a damp cloth, using a hammer softly, to close gaps between aluminium foils.
最後に２つ折りにした部分を開き、基板に挟み込みます。
Unfold it and tuck a circuit board in v-shaped aluminium shield.
そのままFRISKケースの中に収納し、フタを閉めます。フタが閉まりにくい場合は、ハンマーで叩く行程を再度行って下さい。
Install the circuit board with the shield onto a FRISK box. Press it again if you cannot close a cover.
